Happy Spring Break!

Reminder that Space Science Research Report and Project are Due April 10.

Students have been working on the research in class, and have found some really cool facts.  We've had time in class for them to do this nearly every day.  Some students aren't using their time wisely during this allotted time.

This project consists of 4 parts:
1. Research in class, finding facts and filling out their organizer.
2. Informational paper...taking their research and putting it together in well thought out, well organized paragraphs.
3. AT HOME PROJECT....either a poster board or model
4. Presentation 3-5 minutes where they present their topic to the class, this can include slide presentations

Students should have their informational papers, organizers, projects turned in no later than April 10th and be ready to present starting that day.

Additional rubrics, organizers, resource papers are available to students in class.  A digital copy was linked to on Class Dojo.

Students were given a folder (unless they assured me they had a special spot to keep their work) to help them stay organized.

  2. Writing an informational paper

  4. Presenting to the class

Update....

We took our first vocabulary quiz on the force and motion words.  Students will be getting those back on Monday.

Students are expected to do a vocabulary 4 fold on the words that they missed.  This includes, the word, the definition, and example/sentence and a picture which should help the student get a better understanding of the words.

We took the test on Jamestown.  Students should be getting this back on Monday as well.  Students were allowed (and encouraged) to use their Studies Weekly paper to help them answer the question.

Unfortunately we didn't get to the unit test and the district assessment.  Students will be taking this in the early part of next week.

Once we wrap up force and motion we will be headed into space science.

In social studies we will be learning about Plymouth Colony.
